Built in the Beaux-arts style, the Woodward Theater first opened as a silent film house. Purchased by William Woodward in 1796, the historic theater is named in his honor. After his death, the building was demolished in 1912 and rebuilt as the new motion picture theater. It’s located in the vibrant Over-The-Rhine district as another striking structure among the stunning 19th-century buildings lining the neighborhood.
